Emery J. Boor, 95, of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born… Emery J. Boor, 95, of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born May 2, 1913, in Uniontown, a son of the late Emery B. Boor and Mary Fabina Boor.
Also, preceding him in death were his wife, Eleanor Jane Whetsel Boor and three sisters, Rose Kalich, Ethel Pelligreen and Irene Pompii.
Mr. Boor was a graphic sign constructor, who previously owned and operated the Boor Sign Company in Uniontown.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served honorably in the United States Navy and was a member of the Uniontown Central Christian Church.
Emery was a member of the VFW Post 47 and the Circus Builders Association.
Surviving are three children: Robert Lee Boor and his wife, Nancy, of Tucson, Ariz., Jerry Boor and his wife, Linda, of Uniontown, and Pamela Jane Moran and her husband, Alan, of Amherst, Ohio; three grandchildren: Robert Ryan Boor, Kevin Jerome Boor and Cara Lee Cilano; and three great grandchildren: Jessie Cilano, Jacob Cilano and Hanna Boor.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday, May 18, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday until 11 a.m., the hour of service with the Reverend Art Mace officiating.
Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
