Amelia A. (Krasovic) Stanchak, 89, of Wickhaven, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008.
She was born May 28, 1918,… Amelia A. (Krasovic) Stanchak, 89, of Wickhaven, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008.
She was born May 28, 1918, in Wickhaven, Pa., daughter of Anton Krasovic and Mary Dernoshek Krasovic.
Amelia was a member of The Altar Society, Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa., and a Charter Member of Saint John’s Golden Agers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Stanchak, one brother, Andrew Krasovic, and three sisters, Mary Knaus, Matilda Yachup and Florence K. Kohut.
She is survived by one son, John A. Stanchak and his wife Constance of Malvern, Pa.; one daughter, Mrs. James (Patricia) Duff of Cortland, Ohio; three grandchildren: Jennifer A. Stanchak, Christopher A. Stanchak and James Duff; and her sister, Ms. Lorraine “Renee” Krasovic of Wickhaven, Pennsylvania.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with Rev. Father Bob Lubic as the Celebrant.
Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Pennsylvania.
Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday.
