Isabella (Valentich) Sova of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at home with her loving family at… Isabella (Valentich) Sova of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at home with her loving family at her side.

She was born on January 17, 1917, in York Run, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of Mike Valentich and Susan (Bodish) Valentich.

She was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Associate Member of the United Mine Workers of America and a member of The National Honor Society of the now former Georges Township Senior High School.

She retired after 30 years of service with the now former Montgomery Wards Department Store.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Michael Sova, infant sister, Margaret Valentich, an infant brother, Peter Paul Valentich, brothers, Elmer Valentich and Frederick Valentich, and a sister, Edith Franko.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Eleanor D. Rusnak and husband Robert; her sister, Eleanor Lease of Poland, Ohio; two brothers: Joseph Valentich, Boardman, Ohio, and Edward Valentich of Poland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 20, 2008, until 9 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
