George R. Winski Sr., age 91, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, May 25, 2008, in the… George R. Winski Sr., age 91, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, May 25, 2008, in the Laurel Ridge Nursing Center.
He was born February 22, 1917, in Ramsey, Ohio, the son of John T. Winski and Charlotte Preleyko Winski.
George was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
He was a Veteran who served in the United States Army during World War II.
George retired from Watteau Food Distributors in Belle Vernon, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John, and sister, Charlotte.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta Liston Winski; two sons: George Winski Jr. and wife Rita of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Mark Winski and wife Susan of Greensburg, Pa.; his grandchildren: David Winski and wife Brenda, Sharon Winski, Richard Winski, Timothy Winski and Brianne Winski; by his sister, Martha Elcesser and husband Eugene of Wellsburg, West Virginia; nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown Pa., Tuesday, May 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, 28, 2008 (time will be announced).
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
