Law enforcement honors set
Local law enforcement officials will be honored this week at the sixth annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Program Thursday morning at the Ivory Ballroom in Uniontown. Daryl Smith of Fayette County Crime Stoppers said the luncheon and program, scheduled for 11 a.m., will honor officers who have given their lives in service as well as active duty officers.
Smith said this year’s program will feature a keynote address from a noted law enforcement historian from Washington, D.C.
He said the luncheon and program are part of Fayette County’s recognition of area law enforcement this month, which is national Law Enforcement Appreciation Month.
All area law enforcement officers are invited to attend the program.
