He was born April 30, 1942, the son of Harvey and Lois Thompson of Chalk Hill, Pa.
He is survived by his wife; two children; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ed Thompson; three sisters: Elaine Hilling, Judy McGourty and Jane Harris.
He is preceded in death by sister, Linda Orndorff.
Bill was a member of Chalk Hill United Methodist Church and graduated from Uniontown High School (1961). He then served in the United States Air Force for 31 years.
A graveside service with military honors was held at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park, Sacramento, Cal.
