She was born January 31, 1915, at New Salem, Pa., the daughter of the late Zadok and Cora Roadman Jackson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Jackson, a daughter, Linda L. Page and these brothers and sisters, Dwight Jackson, Jane Warner, Evelyn Frost, Rachel Meese, Margaret Yesso, Robert Jackson and William Jackson.
Mrs. Evans was a graduate of the Redstone Township High School, Class of 1932, prior to her moving to Michigan in 1940 she worked for the G.C. Murphy Co., she loved raising her family and being a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, William E. Evans and his wife, Jan of Chehalis, Wash.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services, with Rev. Keith Conover officiating, will be held Thursday, September 4, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Thursday.
