Pittsburgh man stabbed in California incident
CALIFORNIA, Pa. – A Pittsburgh man was allegedly stabbed by his ex-girlfriend following an argument Saturday in California, Washington County. California police said Shaquayla Marc Lowery, 20, of Swissvale was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person following the incident at Vulcan Village, formerly known as the Jefferson Apartments in California.
According to police, officers were called to Vulcan Village at 1:07 a.m. for a report of a man suffering an injury.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Dadre Lamont Williams, 21, of Pittsburgh in his apartment with a serious stab wound to his back and a minor wound on one of his hands.
Williams allegedly told police that Lowery stabbed him during an argument at the residence, police said.
He was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh.
An update on his condition was not available Tuesday.
Police said they found Lowery at her apartment in Vulcan Village where she was subsequently taken into custody.
Lowery was placed in the Washington County Prison on $5,000 straight cash bond.
A preliminary hearing will be held in Burgettstown at a later date.
