Voting issues to be reviewed
Voting issues in Washington County will be discussed Thursday, Sept. 17, with Washington County Director of Elections Larry Spahr and the League of Women Voters of Washington County. The League of Women Voters will be focusing on whether Washington County is meeting the League’s national objectives of secure, accurate, recountable and accessible voting procedures. Members of the public with questions or concerns about the voting practices in the county are invited to participate in the program. It will take place at 7 p.m. in the public meeting room on the first floor of Courthouse Square.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. For more information, call 724-228-9889.
