Four 100-pound propane tanks owned by Key Market of Pennsylvania were stolen from a radio tower off of Washington Springs Road between Aug. 27 and Sept. 5, state police said. North Union Twp.

Assaults reported

Simple assault charges are pending against an 18-year-old Uniontown man for allegedly striking a 19-year-old McClellandtown man in the head with head with a lamp and charges are also pending against the 19-year-old for allegedly striking Opal Loraine Frazier, 22, of Uniontown, state police said. The assaults occurred in Woodview Terrace at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, police said. The 19-year-old was taken to Uniontown Hospital with minor injuries.

Attempted robbery

A white man with a black mustache and goatee wearing a green short-sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans demanded money from a clerk at the A-Plus Sunoco on Connellsville Street at 6:53 p.m. Friday, but fled after the clerk refused to hand over any cash, city police said.

Burglary attempted

City police said someone kicked in a rear door at Danielle Mickens’ home on Connellsville Street just after noon Thursday, but nothing appeared to be stolen. Police said the break in activated an alarm.

Man arrested

Patrick Thomas Nicholson, 24, of Bullskin Township was charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and a possible drug offense on Swink Hill Road after state police said they responded to a report of a disorderly male walking in the area at 1:35 p.m. July 18.

Vehicle stolen

A green 1995 Jeep Cherokee was stolen from Your Car Lot on McClellandtown Road and then found abandoned in some woods adjacent to Wynn Road between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3, state police said. The vehicle had minor damages, police said

Car damaged

Someone threw a brick that damaged the rear window and roof of a car owned by Krystal Raffle while it was parked in a carport at the rear of her Chaffee Street home late Thursday or early Friday, city police said.

Woman struck

A simple assault charge were filed against Dean Graft, 27, of Vanderbilt for allegedly hitting Patricia Jones, 38, of Connellsville in the hand with a metal bar during a fight at 1293 Lower Sandy Hollow Road at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, state police said.

Money stolen

State police said they are investigating the theft of an unknown amount of money from a purse owned by Jessica Nicole Wamsley, 20, of Ronco. The theft occurred at 624 Flynn Ave. between 9 a.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

Propeller stolen

A propeller was reportedly stolen from an outboard boat motor owned by Bobby Mioduch, 46, of Mt. Braddock between Aug. 27 and Sept. 7, state police said. The theft occurred at 411 Palmer Road. Police ask anyone with information about the theft to call the barracks at 724-439-7111.

Minor injury

State police said vehicles driven by Jennifer L. Walters, 27, of Masontown and Christopher M. West, 35, of Clarksville were involved in an accident on Route 21 at Route 166 at 4:40 p.m. Aug. 29. Walters had a minor injury. None of the passengers in either vehicle were injured.

School bus accident

City police said a Laidlaw School Bus driven by Joseph Meridith, 74, of Uniontown hit a parked car on Arlington Avenue at 2:25 p.m. Thursday. The driver reported that he swerved to avoid a child who opened the door of a car that was parked on the street and he hit a car on the other side of the street. Police said both vehicles had minor damages. No injuries were reported. The bus company works for the Albert Gallatin School District.

Three-car accident

Cars driven by Jerome T. Switch Jr., 18, of Adah, a 17-year-old Masontown girl and a 17-year-old McClellandtown girl were involved in an accident on York Run Road at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, state police said. No injuries were reported. Switch had two juvenile passengers and the Masontown girl also had a juvenile passenger.

Two-vehicle accident

A car driven by Bernard Molek III, 26, of Uniontown and a minivan driven by Cynthia L. McElroy, 45, of McClellandtown were involved in an accident on Route 40 at Township Drive at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, state police said. No injuries were reported.

Car scratched

Someone scratched the paint on a car owned by Crystal Lynne Bungard outside of her Pennsylvania Avenue home between midnight Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday, city police said. The passenger side front fender, front door, rear door and rear fender were scratched, police said.

Man cited

Kevin Lee Yauger, 47, of North Union Township was cited with harassment for allegedly assaulting Janice Lynn Yauger, 44, of North Union Township at a North Gallatin Avenue residence at 11:42 p.m. Aug. 29, state police said.

South Union Twp.

Money taken

Money was reportedly stolen from a purse that Cristen Cindric, 22, dropped in the Wal-Mart parking lot between 8:15 and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 30, state police said.
