Numerous marijuana plants found, destroyed
According to Greene County District Attorney Marjorie Fox, all 108 plant locations were well maintained. The plants were grown in potting soil, and protected by a 1 ½-foot fence to keep small animals away and also a four-foot fence to keep larger animals away such as deer.
The plant area was also weeded and an area was cleared for plant growth.
The street value of the eradicated marijuana plants totals approximately $65,000, and the 43 harvested plants had a street value of $43,000.
The total street value of this grow area was approximately $108,000, Fox said.
This grow operation is still under investigation.
