James A. (Buckshot) Gilleland, age 76 of Perryopolis, Pa. died Friday, September 12, 2008. He was born September 23, 1931 in Upper Middletown, Pa., son of Abraham and Evelyn Arnold Gilleland.

James was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the AMVETS and VFW of McKeesport, Pa.

He is survived by 3 children: Terri Burkeert, James Gilleland, Jr. and wife Tammy and Stacy Cearfoss and husband Jack; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grand-children; sisters: Dorothy Curcio; twin sister, Sarah Liptak and husband Michael and Donna Maruschak and husband Mel.

James was predeceased by a sister Gladys Caporale.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa. on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Keith Conover officiating.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Full military rites will be accorded by the AMVETS Post 103.
