Anna J. Rester
Anna J. Rester, a resident of the South Fayette Nursing Center at Markleysburg, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008, in Markleysburg, Pa. She was born at Ronco, the daughter of the late Steve and Kathryn Hallek Lopushansky.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Rester, three sisters, Mary Molek, Katherine King and Pauline Dubovich and five brothers, Steve, Peter, George, Joseph and John Lopushansky.
Ann was a member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in New Salem.
She is survived by her sister, Bertha Butwinski and husband, Stanley, of Parma, Ohio. Ann was the loving aunt, great aunt and great-great-aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, September 18, 2008, until 10 a.m. when Parastas will be held in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, New Salem, with Rev. Father Vitaly Dudkin officiating.
Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Church Cemetery.
Panachida will be held in the funeral home Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
