Making way for new KFC eatery

Mountain Chef Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, which owns the eatery, will build a new restaurant on the site that will seat about 76 people. The improvements also will require hiring about 20 more people. A spokesman for Mountain Chef said the new restaurant should be open by mid-December. The spokesman said the old KFC building opened in 1969.
