Harry Orin “Butch” Townsend
Harry Orin “Butch” Townsend, 69 of North Ogden, Utah, died in his home Friday, September 12, 2008. Harry was born on April 6, 1939 to Wilbur and Ruth Frost Townsend of McClellandtown, Pa.
After graduating from German Township High School, he served in the U.S.Army and the U.S. Navy. Harry retired from Owens Illinois in 2000.
He is survived by his son David and daughter-in-law Hui Tang Townsend and by his former wife Patricia Harris and step daughters: Kim, Kerrie and Kendra. Also surviving are his brothers: Ronald, Timothy and Wilbur (Marlene) Townsend and his sisters: Charmaine (Tulio) Viola, Nora Levers, Vivian (Stanley) Wrubleski, Betty Lou (Dan) Goff and Debra Gaggiani. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, two brothers, Raleigh and David Townsend are deceased.
Funeral Services in Utah were handled by MYERS MORTUARY CHAPEL. A Memorial Service will be conducted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in North Ogden, Utah. Harry will be buried at McClellandtown Presbyterian Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
