Niemiec Galida Victoria S. Niemiec Galida, age 89, of Bitner Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday morning, September 19, 2008 in the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born February 17, 1919 in Keisterville, Pa., the daughter of the late Stanley Niemiec and Mary Drobot Niemiec.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alex Galida; sisters: Stella Skarbek and Joan Wyda; brothers: John and Frank Niemiec
Victoria was a member of Saint John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving and devoted children: daughter Genevieve (Jeannie) Chamberlain of Uniontown; sons: Henry Richard Petuck and wife Darlene of Leisenring, Pa and Donald George Galida of Uniontown; loving grandchildren: Richard Henry Petuck of Leisenring, Pa and Richard James Petuck of Perryopolis; sisters: Mary Zentkovich of Keisterville and Sophia Antonini of Nemacolin, Pa. and loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa. today, Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday morning, September 22, 2008 until 11 a.m. when a Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home with Reverend Father Thomas J. Wesdock officiating.
Interment follows in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Parastas Service will also be held today, September 21, 2008 at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
