Violet H. Morgan
VIOLET H. MORGAN, aged 96 years, a resident of Hopwood, Pa, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 in King’s Personal Care Home. She was born January 2, 1912 in Beaver Falls, Pa., daughter of the late William and Minnie Carpenter.
Mrs Morgan was a devoted mother and housewife and was a retired seamstress, employed by Ina’s Dress Shop for many years. She was a long time member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was also a past member of the Eastern Star and Mary E. Caven Shrine.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband I. Merle Morgan, her son Gary E. Morgan, her granddaughter, Lisa A. Morgan and her brother William Carpenter II.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by her son Merle A. Morgan and his wife Delores “Dee” of Uniontown; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Morgan of Logan, N.M.; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.
A family visitation will be
held in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 71 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pennsylvania, with Reverend Paul N. Frank, Jr. officiating.
