Bartender assaulted
Police said the 34-year-old Uniontown man will be charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief for attacking Coe Fischer of Uniontown. The suspect’s identity is being withheld pending the formalization of charges.
Uniontown police Sgt. Jonathan Grabiak said the incident occurred at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday at Parks Casino on Connellsville Street.
Grabiak said the suspect, who was drinking at the bar with his father, became enraged with Fischer after the bartender asked the suspect’s sister, who is 26 years old, for identification when she tried to order a drink.
Grabiak said the suspect threw three barstools, striking Fischer in the left hand while trying to block a stool from hitting his body.
He also broke a pool stick and threatened to shoot Fischer, Grabiak said.
Grabiak said Fischer drove himself to Uniontown Hospital for treatment of a laceration to his left hand.
Police interviewed the suspect’s sister and father but said they were unable to locate the suspect Tuesday night.
Charges will be filed against the man in district court in Uniontown.
