Elizabeth F. Jones, 83, Brownsville, Pa., passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born July 20, 1925, daughter of the late Walter Smith and Clara Harden Smith.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jones, a son, Albert Smith, four brothers, George, Joseph, Charles and James Smith and four sisters, Blanche Vandiviner, Kathryn McCellan, Anna Briggs and Margaret Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Kathryn Smith of Brownsville; a sister, Marion Wright and husband Edgar of Brownsville; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

A service will be held today, September 25, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, with words of comfort by Dr. Herman B. Jackson, Pastor of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, Brownsville.
