How I spent my summer vacation

Shirley Griffin

Smithfield

I went to Idlewild with my sister Sam, my brother-in-law Caleb, my dad Walter, and my two nieces and nephews. My oldest niece’s name is Sarah. My nephew’s name is Lil Caleb and my second niece’s name is Abigale, but everyone in my family calls her Abby.

And I made a Myspace account and got a lot of famous people like the Jonas brothers Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, Michael Mooseo, and a lot more. I had so much fun on my summer vacation.

What I did this summer

Alyssa Braddee

Uniontown

What did I do this summer? Well, I had the most amazing summer. I went to Kennywood and Idlewild with my family and friends. I rode the Phantom’s Revenge. I was so scared. I also had BFFL over ever day. We had four sleepovers with four other friends. Last but not least, I made many more friends. It was a blast.

Summer vacation

Zachary Swihart

Smithfield

I spent my summer riding my dirt bike or riding my bike and playing football, baseball, and fishing, and I also hung out with my friends and went swimming. And I went to my cousin’s house. I also went to a lot of yard sales and garage sales, auctions, and I played with my little cousins.

I also got to see my aunt and uncle over the summer.

Summer on the river

Damien Varane

Smithfield

How I spent my summer vacation. It was a blast on the river. We went on a boat. I played basketball almost the whole summer, and I also played football. Also, one night I came home from camp and got on my motorbike and I had to go get stitches from the peg. It cut me.

Also I went to Cheat Lake and rode on a tube. I wasn’t falling off, but then I finally fell off. I went for a ride with some friends, and the kid that we saw wrecked on a quad. It flipped him and a girl. It was bad.

Me and my dog Madison

Kayla Gladman

Mcclellandtown

I love my dog, Madison. She is sweet, nice and always protects me. If I am in trouble she will help me. If she dies, I will miss her and cry every day. And I will probably not get a dog for a long time.

This summer

Samuel Metts

Smithfield

This summer I went to the Pittsburgh Zoo. I saw the polar bears. One swam right up to me and smacked up against the glass. They also let you run around were the polar bear was. Afterwards, I went to Idlewild and Soakzone. They said that you can’t get wet unless you’re in a swim suit but that really didn’t matter because I wasn’t allowed to go because my brothers wanted to go and they had runny noses.

That didn’t ruin my day, because I rode almost every ride. I road the Ferris wheel and saw Soakzone from the top. That’s what I did during my summer vacation.

What I did this summer

Alexis Campbell

Uniontown

I went to Outer Banks, North Carolina. It was awesome. We went to a place called Cape Hatteras. We went in the world’s largest lighthouse. I learned a lot on this trip. Also we got to see ghostcrabs. It was neat. That’s what I did this summer.

This summer

Michael Lewis

Masontown

This summer I went to Ocean City, Maryland, where I swam in the ocean for a few hours. Later that day, we went to the rides. It was really fun. That’s how I spent my summer.

My summer was a lot of fun. I hung out with my friends and went swimming. I also went to Kennywood twice. But the main thing that I did this summer was I went to Ocean City, Maryland. I had a lot of fun. My best friend, Molly went with me.

We swam in the ocean and walked on the boardwalk. I had a great summer vacation.
