McMillen Engineering promotes key staffers
McMillen Engineering, Uniontown, has announced the recent promotions of three key staff members. Terry E. McMillen Jr., a registered professional land surveyor, was promoted from chief of surveys to vice president of surveys. In his new position, he manages all survey projects to ensure efficient and timely completion. McMillen began his career at McMillen Engineering in 1986 as a surveyor. In 1990, McMillen became a survey party chief where he performed numerous property surveys, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys and construction stakeout for several multi-business shopping plazas, office complexes and utility line locations. McMillen was promoted to chief of surveys in 2001. McMillen graduated from Penn State, Wilkes-Barre Campus with an associate degree in engineering technology.
Eric Dunkard, P.E., was promoted to vice president of technology. Dunkard is responsible for introducing and integrating new technologies and software, ensuring computer security, answering all technical questions, identifying computer user problems and coordinating to resolve them, system performance tuning and ensuring that the network infrastructure is running properly. Dunkard began working for McMillen Engineering as a part-time draftsman while pursuing his degree in civil engineering. He received bachelor of science degrees in civil engineering technology and architectural engineering technology from Fairmont State University, Fairmont, W.Va., in 1995. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania. He will retain his role in civil and building design.
Jim Stanton, P.E., was promoted to vice president of engineering. He began his professional career at McMillen Engineering in 1996. In addition to working on various land development projects, Stanton has also served as design engineer and project manager for various water, sanitary sewer and storm water projects. Stanton received an associate degree in architectural engineering technology from Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, 1994 and a bachelor of science degree in structural design and construction engineering technology from Penn State University, Harrisburg, in 1996. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania.
