CFGC to hold workshops

The Community Foundation of Greene County (CFGC), in conjunction with the Community Foundation of Fayette County and Rivers of Steel, recently announced that grant workshops will be held in Greene County during April and May. The workshops will feature representatives who will discuss grant opportunities through the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Project Stream, the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, the Foundation Center at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Heritage Parks Program, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and the Community Foundation of Greene Foundation of Greene County. Many of the grant opportunities will be relevant to folk and traditional artists; cultural, arts, and heritage organizations; festival committees, traditional performing and visual arts groups, and historical societies and groups.

Additionally, CFGC will provide information on their upcoming grant cycle for Arts and Culture, Children Youth and Families, Community and Economic Development, Health & Human Services; and Innovative projects.

The workshops are scheduled for:

April 29 – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Greene County Education Center of Westmoreland County Community College, 100 EverGreene Drive Suite 102, Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.

May 12 – 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Log Cabin, corner of Front and County streets,

Greensboro, Pa. 15338
