Some quick news?
I rarely do updates until I have compiled enough for what I consider a substantive post, but I wanted to drop these three snippets for your enjoyment. First, watch as the threat of a global pandemic further emboldens our president to action in his quest for social change in America.
The Big O spoke this morning about the outbreak of swine flu and its potential implications and was sure to mention that we are no longer a world leader in science and therefore we are in greater danger.
Despite the fact that the 40 cases so far in the U.S. have not resulted in a death and despite the fact that we have millions and millions of doses of flu medication to help alleviate the illness stockpiled for such an ocassion and despite the fact that we have the greatest health care system in the world where we can get treatment the same day we choose to, Obama will have you believe that because we don?t dedicate more money to scientific research and because our health care system isn?t run by the federal government, we will all start dropping like flies?soon. Swine flu. Economic downturn. ?Thou shalt let no crisis goeth to waste.? The book of Obamanation.
Second, I will attach a link of a story about two Obama supporters struggling to make ends meet in the economic downturn. It is extremely well written and details the inner turmoil brewing amongst the blindly faithful. Even though it still has some liberal overtones, it was published in the liberal bastion, The Washington Post, and does at least show some growing discomfort among the herd.

Finally, I saw this little ditty and I can?t help but wonder if my ?Obama runs on batteries? theory might have some truth to it. Here is a clip of Obama talking to his teleprompter at his swine flu news conference and catching himself repeating introductions he made just minutes before. I?m telling you, Michelle is going to have to start accompanying him everywhere armed with a stick to jam into the back of his head every time he malfunctions. It?s like smacking a TV with fuzzy reception. It works sometimes.
