Humane Society Golf Outing set for Aug. 15
The board of directors recently announced that the first annual Greene County Humane Society Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Rohanna’s Golf Course. There will be a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The price is $60 per golfer. The outing will be in a four-person scramble format. The event will feature doughnuts at registration, 18 holes of golf with a cart and on-course beverages and snacks, first-, second- and third-place prizes, skills competitions and prizes, a gift of appreciation at registration, a dinner following the outing and many door prizes. There will be a 50/50 drawing and other raffles as well. Holes may be sponsored as an advertisement for a business or in honor of or memory of a beloved pet for a fee of $100. A sign with the business or person’s name will be displayed at a hole or green on the course.
If anyone is interested in entering a team, sponsoring a hole, or making a donation, they may contact Sheena Martin, Humane Society board member, at srmartin@carmarea.org or 724-322-2174.
