7 WMUs sell out of doe licenses While seven wildlife management units have sold out of antlerless deer licenses, WMUs 2A and 2C, which incorporate most of the local area still have licenses remaining as the first bonus round has been open for nearly a week. WMUs selling out include 1B, 2E, 2F, 2G, 4A, 4B and 4d.
There are 33,147 licenses remaining for WMU 2A, which includes Fayette County on the west side of Route 119, all of Greene County and a large portion of Washington County.
WMU 2C, which includes all of Fayette County east of Route 119 and all of Somerset County, still had 1,897 licenses remaining at the close of business on Friday.
Antlerless deer licenses for the “big woods” counties are almost gone.
Except for a small portion of Potter and Tioga counties in WMU 3A, which had 1,180 licenses remaining, the majority of the licenses for those counties are gone.
Licenses are already sold out for most WMUs the incorporate McKean, Clinton, Cameron and Clarion counties.
TU NOTES: The Chestnut Ridge Chapter of Trout Unlimited will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus on Gallatin Ave., Uniontown.
The chapter is looking for members and non-members who would be willing to help with reconstruction of the net hatchery in the Youghiogheny River Lake tailraces.
