UNIONTOWN HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1956 classmates’ dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Eat ‘n Park Restaurant, Uniontown. Classmates, guests, friends are welcome. For information, call 724-564-2136. EAST END CONCERNED CITIZENS will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the community rom of the East End United Community Center, 150 Coolspring St., Uniontown. All concerned citizens living in the East End are invited. The group’s purpose is to help improve the East End community. TYRONE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH will celebrate homecoming Sept. 13. The congregation is 235 years old with records dating before its founding in 1774. A special program will begin at 4 p.m. with Roy and Janice Gearhart. Roy will portray the Apostle John, brother of James, with special music performed by he and his wife. A covered dish dinner will be held after the program and sharing of special memories from current and past congregation members. The church is located off Route 819 between Scottdale and Dawson. EAST END UNITED COMMUNITY CENTER will hold a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Uniontown Senior Center to benefit its Our Caring Corner program for grieving children and their families. The program offers a venue where grieving children, adolescents and their families can gather to talk about memories. The program is a peer support group funded by Highmark Healthy High 5, an initiative of the Highmark Foundation. Dinners will be available for a cost. Advance orders may be made.
