Margaret J. “Cookie” Connors
Margaret J. “Cookie” Connors, 67 of Dunbar, Pa., passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009. She was born May 30, 1942 in Uniontown, a daughter of Mary (Wilhelm) McKenny of Dunbar and the late Albert McKenny.
Cookie attended the Breakneck Church of God. She was formerly employed by Pechin market for twenty years. In her spare time, she liked to crochet and sew.
Cookie is survived by her Mother, her long time companion Joe Martin of Dunbar who she considered her Husband; 3 Sons: Robert E. Connors and wife Jackie of Bullskin Township, Albert R. Connors of Pittsburgh, Gary Dale Connors and wife Gretchen of Harper’s Ferry, W.Va.; 3 Daughters: Peggy Brown and husband Mark, Lisa Cooper and husband Keith, all of Dunbar. Amy Connors and friend Sam of Yauger Hollow; 2 Sisters: Gerry Pagen and Ed of Dunbar, Linda Mazza and husband Vince of Rehobath Beach, Md.; 8 Grandchildren: Bobby, Jesse, Jack, Nicholas, Albert, Alexis, Jacob and Dale.
Cookie was predeceased by her father and a brother Albert Raymond McKenney.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First Street, West Side Connellsville and Wednesday until 1 p.m., the Hour of Service with Pastor Joseph Wingrove officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.
