Emmitt Dalton Hall
Emmitt Dalton Hall, age 87, of Uniontown PA, died Sunday, August 16, 2009 in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born May 16, 1922, in Hopwood PA, the son of the late Phineas P. Hall and Virginia J. McDaniel Hall.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Colleen (Hill) Hall, a brother, Lindsey (Ted) Hall and a granddaughter, Sheryl Lynn Santini.
He graduated from South Union High School with the class of 1941. Emmitt served in the United States Marines Corp during World War II in Guam, Okinawa and Saipan. He then worked road maintenance for PENNDOT for several years and then retired from Columbia Gas after 30 years as a Street Service Consultant. Emmett was also a member of the Izaak Walton League of America.
Surviving are his wife of over 50 years, Twilla Marks Hall of Uniontown; three sons: Dalton (Dan) Hall of Prescott Valley, AZ, Samuel (Larry) Hall and wife, Nancy of Chugiak, Alaska and Stuart Dalton Hall of Uniontown; two daughters: Malinda Grabowski and her husband, Louis of Jacksonville, FL and Marsha Ray and her husband, Tom of Charion, PA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown PA.
Military rites at graveside will be accorded at 11 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
