Peter O’Neil Everly, 72, of Garrardstown, WV, and formerly of Greensboro, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Golden Living Rose Hill Nursing Home in Berrysville, Va. Born June 29, 1937 in Bald Hill, Pa., he was a son of the late Oren O’Neil Everly and Anna Catherine Lewellen Everly.

He is survived by a son, David Everly of Spotsylvania, Va.; three daughters: Deborah Everly of Garrardstown, Cheri McClanahan of Mt. Airy, Maryland and Holly Massie of Capitol Heights, Maryland; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, James Everly of Bald Hill and a sister, Mrs. William (Nancy) Davis of Waynesburg, Pa.

Predeceased are a granddaughter, Faith Catherine Everly and two sisters, Gloria Johnson and Barbara Everly.

Friends will be received in the BROWN FUNERAL HOME’S South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, W.Va. on Thursday from 2 5 and 7 9 p.m., and at the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, on Friday from 3 6 p.m.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mount Morris, Pa., with his brother-in-law, Rev. William Davis officiating.
