Joseph Anthony Swartz Sr., 85, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, who served his country during World War II with the United States Army Airborne, died Friday, August 28, 2009 in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today (Monday, August 31, 2009) until 9:15 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., with Rev. Father Micah E. Kozoil as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, where Military Honors will be accorded by the Uniontown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47.
