Wanda Kay (Hendrix) Cunningham, 68, of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born January 2, 1941, daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Hendrix and Ellen Genevieve Baker Hendrix.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, John Cunningham and a sister, Serena Hendrix.

Surviving are her two children: Sherrick Cunningham of Markleysburg and Jeffrey Cunningham of Collier; four grandchildren: Jonathan Cunningham, Myranda Cunningham, Kathryn Cunningham and Jennifer Cunningham; one brother and four sisters: Donald Ray Hendrix of Farmington, Donna Lee Morrison of Charlestown, W.Va., Gerry Louise Rini of Medina, Ohio, Maxine Elaine Hare of Mentor, Ohio, Catherine Gail Hendrix of Pittsburgh and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kay was a member of Sansom Chapel United Methodist Church. She had been a waitress at Glisan’s Restaurant and numerous other restaurants throughout the area. She was a graduate of Uniontown High School.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Farmington, Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Terry Collins officiating.

Interment will follow in Sansom Chapel Cemetery.
