Erma Madeline Hatter
0000367576-01-1.jpg Erma Madeline Hatter, 83, of Connellsville, PA, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA. She was born October 25, 1926, in Stewart Township, a daughter of the late Fred and Vera Bryner Lowry.
She was a member of the Vanderbilt Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Fred (Sonny) Lowry of Dunbar, Donald Lowry of Dunbar, and Herb Lowry of Farmington as well as a special friend, Angeline O’Nell of Connellsville.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Edward A. Hatter; her daughter, Peggy Sue Hatter Lewis and son-in-law, James R. Lewis of Connellsville; and the love of her life, her two granddaughters: Jillian Paige Lewis and Olivia Brianna Lewis. She is also survived by one sister, Ruby Lowry Burnsworth of Mill Run, two brothers: Vernon Lowry of Ohiopyle and Ford Lowry of Dunbar, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Erma was an outgoing person who loved to laugh and help others as well as being outspoken for what she believed in. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Her legacy will be carried on through her granddaughters. We will see you again, Mum, in eternity. Love lasts forever!
Friends will be received 7-9 today, December 17, and 2-4 and 7-9, Friday, December 18, 2009 at the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar.
Services will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Dean Griffiths officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.
