Melissa D. Cromwell Thomas, 28, of Thompson One, Fayette County, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009 in UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh. Born on March 14, 1981 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Alfred R. “Skip” Thomas Jr. and Debra Mudrey Thomas of Thompson One, Pennsylvania.

Melissa was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Scott Thomas.

In addition to her parents, Melissa is survived by three sons: Richard Christopher III, Tyler Christopher and Devon Thomas; a sister, Jennifer Thomas of Thompson One and her fiance Jeremy Cable; a brother, Matthew Thomas of Fairbank, Pennsylvania and his fiancee Alicia Rugola; and three nieces: Kayleigh “Mica” Cable, Isabell Thomas and Candance Thomas.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with the Reverend Roland M. O’Brien officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania.
