Break-in reported Brownsville police said Arturo Benedetti of Huntingtown, Md., reported Tuesday morning that someone broke into a home he owns at 1520 Sheridan Ave. and stole the electric service box, damaged doors, left needles in the home and did other damage. Belle Vernon
Man reported missing
Family and friends of Chad Madden, 30, of 237 Main St., reported he has not been seen since Tuesday, Southwest Regional police said. Police ask that anybody with information about his whereabouts to call the station at 724-929-8484.

Uniontown police said Robert Scott Morrison, 38, of Dunbar was arrested on a warrant obtained by state police in Greensburg following a traffic stop at the corner of Walnut Street and Bailey Avenue at 3 a.m. Thursday.

Uniontown police said Earl William Meyers of Friendsville, Md., reported that someone ignited “super smoke” fireworks in his vehicle, which he parked off Easy Street near Delaware Avenue with the windows partially down, and it damaged the interior at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Uniontown police said 16-year-old Brittany Price ran away from the Home Again shelter on Cleveland Avenue at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Bench stolen
Uniontown police said Leonard Neill reported that a bench, hand-painted to look like an American flag, was stolen from the porch of his 103 Easy St. home late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Monthly report issued
State police in Belle Vernon responded to 847 incidents and made 57 arrests in June, according to a monthly statistics report. Police said 122 criminal offenses were reported and 120 were founded. Patrol activity included 10 vehicle crashes, 17 hit-and-run crashes, 15 injuries, six driving under the influence of alcohol arrests, two DUI-related crashes, 1,121 citations issued and 617 warnings issued.
