Food delivery driver robbed

1 min read

Uniontown police said a food delivery driver reported that three armed, masked men robbed him of a food order outside of a home where he was supposed to deliver the order from a restaurant Wednesday night. Robert Leichliter, 48, of Uniontown told police he was making a delivery from the Canton Chinese Restaurant on Fayette Street to 50 Markle St., but no one answered after he knocked on the door several times and tried to call the cell phone from which the order was placed, police said. As he walked back to his vehicle, he put the food order on the ground as three men carrying guns and wearing masks over their faces approached, police said. He told police one of them demanded money.

However, one grabbed the food and all three fled, police said. Leichliter returned to the restaurant and called police at 8:48 p.m.
