Burglary attempted Uniontown police said Carol L. Roby reported that someone tried to break into her home at 414 Evans St. home between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Upper Tyrone Twp.
Driver injured
State police said vehicles driven by Ryan D. Owens Jr., 29, and Sharon M. Shaffer, 30, both of Connellsville, were involved in an accident on Route 119 at McClure Road at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday. Shaffer was taken to Excella Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant with moderate injuries to her neck, head and shoulder, police said.

State police said someone used information from a debit card owned by Tony Regal of Smock to make online purchases between May 26 and June 13.

Man cited
Shawn Ignatius Mazur of Jacobs Creek was cited with disorderly conduct following an incident that took place in the area of 47 Railroad St. at 2:30 p.m. Monday, state police said.
Mount Pleasant
LCE cites clubs
The State Police Bureau of Liquor Control said the Mount Pleasant Social Club and the Slovak Citizens Education Sick and Death Benefit Society, both on Smithfield Street, were charged with liquor-law violations.
The social club was charged with possessing or operating gambling devices or permitting gambling, lotteries, pool selling and/or bookmaking on March 11. The Slovak Society was charged with failing to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the business for two years preceding May 14.
The charges will be brought before an LCE administrative law judge.
