Jacqueline Grimm McCrum

Jacqueline Grimm McCrum, age 57, of Seemont Drive, Kingwood, West Virginia, was called home to be with her Savior on Thursday, July 2, 2009, from Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. Born on April 21, 1952, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, “Jackie” was the daughter of Harry E. Grimm and Lorena (Spiker) Grimm.

“Jackie” was a cherished Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Teacher and Friend. She was very proud of both her children and many school students!

She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Kingwood where she was organist for the early service and led the Hand Chimes Choir.

She was frequently found sewing and quilting with the Wesley Sew’rs, who met at her home.

“Jackie” graduated from the former of Fairchance-Georges High School in Fairchance, Pennsylvania, California State College in California, Pennsylvania, West Virginia University and from Salem International University.

She recently retired from a 37 year career, and labor of love, as teacher and principal at Kingwood, Rowlesburg, and Aurora Elementary schools.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband Robert Summers “Mac” McCrum; son, Brent McCrum of Kingwood, West Virginia; daughter and spouse, Rachel and Aaron Miller, and her long awaited granddaughter, Laurel Brook, all of Tunnelton, West Virginia; “sister”, Sue Snyder and her husband Earl Snyder of Kingwood, West Virginia; one brother and spouse, Harry Eddie and Robin Grimm of Leesburg, Virginia, as well as their children: Eddie III also of Leesburg, Virginia, and Ashley Snight and husband Mike of California state.

“Jackie” was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Summers and Mary Elizabeth McCrum; and by her first born daughter, Beth LeAnn McCrum, whom she is reunited with in Heaven.

Friends and Family may call at the ROTRUCK-LOBB FUNERAL HOME-Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, Kingwood, WV 26537 (304.329.3101) today, Sunday, July 5, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, July 6, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Visitation will continue at the WESLEY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jenny Williams officiating.

Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery, Kingwood, West Virginia.

Visitation was also held on Saturday, July 4, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m.
