Betty M. Conteen Persichitti Laskosky
Betty M. (Persichitti) Laskosky, age 88, of Winter Haven, Florida, and formerly of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009, at her home in Winter Haven, Florida. She was born April 19, 1921, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., the daughter of Michael J. Conteen and Helen Kovach Conteen.
Betty was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, Pa.
She was retired from the Uniontown School District where she worked with underprivileged children.
She had served as a Democratic Committee woman in Menallen and Luzerne townships for forty-five years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred (Imes) Persichitti; her second husband, Anthony Laskosky; sons, Michael J. Persichitti and Vincent A. Persichitti; a sister, Joan Kalniwoski; a brother, Donald M. Conteen; and her parents.
Surviving are grandchildren: Michael Jr., Tammy Jones, Lisa, Jason and Barry; several great grandchildren; step son, Daniel Sherepita and daughter-in-law Jane with whom she lived; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation and Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
