Liptak honored Deanna Liptak of Grindstone was named to the dean’s list during a recent term of study at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan. She is a University of Pittsburgh and Frazier High School graduate. She is the daughter of Bernie and Cheryl Liptak. Dean’s list honorees

Shannon E. Rishel, a sophomore in the Mylan School of Pharmacy and daughter of Duncan and Francine Rishel of Gibbon Glade, and Amanda L. Bubnash, a senior in the Mylan School of Pharmacy and daughter of Janice and Edward Bubnash of Perryopolis, were named to the spring dean’s list at Duquesne University.

The dean’s list recognizes students who have maintained at least a 3.5 grade-point average.

Cowsert listed

Carrie R. Cowsert of Fairchance, a sophomore sociology/anthropology and Spanish major, has been named to the dean’s list at Albright College in Reading for the spring semester.

She is a graduate of Albert Gallatin Area High School. Students attained at least a 3.75 grade-point average to be named to the list.

Students honored

Jeffrey Levy of Belle Vernon, Shawn Miller of Grindstone, Sara Toth of Perryopolis, Holly Lazor of South Connellsville and Brent Coughenour of Uniontown were named to the dean’s list at Gannon University in Erie for the spring semester. Students with a grade-point average of 3.5 or better qualified for the list.

Spring honorees

Thomas R. Hackwelder of Champion and Ruth H. Blycheck of Confluence were named to the dean’s list at Allegany College of Maryland for the spring semester.

To be eligible for the list, a student must earn a 3.8 grade-point average or higher.

On dean’s list

Courtney Sanner of Uniontown was named to the dean’s list at Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia for the spring semester. Students must attain a 3.5 grade-point average or better to qualify for dean’s list honors.

Otterbein honoree

Jayme L. Detweiler, daughter of Mark and Anne Detweiler of Uniontown, was named to the dean’s list for the spring quarter at Otterbein College in Ohio. Students must attain at least a 3.6 grade-point average to qualify for the list.

Two earn honors

Alyssa A. Welch, a music education major, and Amy N. Zebley, a natural sciences major, both from Uniontown, were named to the dean’s list at Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia for the spring semester.

Students honored

Ashley Eberhart, a psychology major and graduate of Trinity Christian School, and Ashley Crago, a mathematics major and 2006 graduate of Uniontown Area High School, were named to the dean’s list at Grove City College for the spring semester.

Eberhart is the daughter of the Rev. George and Virginia Eberhart of Dilliner. Crago is the daughter of Scott and Debra Crago of Uniontown.

Students must have at least a 3.4 grade- point average to qualify for the list.

Brandon H. Bruner of Mount Pleasant, Kelly L. Lloyd of Uniontown, Briana A. Newstrom of Charleroi and Philip S. Witt of Connellsville were named to the spring dean’s list at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.

Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average to qualify for the list.

Shlosky on list

Paige Shlosky of Carmichaels was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio. Students who earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average are named to the list.

Providence honoree

James Jenkins of Uniontown was named to the dean’s list at Providence College in Rhode Island for the spring semester.

Students must achieve at least a 3.5 grade-point average to qualify for the list.

Sears on dean’s list

Kirsten M. Sears, an international affairs major from California, was named to the spring dean’s list at Muskingum college in Ohio.

Students win honors

Clarion University has announced the dean’s list for the spring semester.

The following local students were named to the list: Shane M. Curran of Belle Vernon, Alexander Scott Dugger of Scottdale, Gina Marie Fazenbaker of Addison, Samantha Ann Nemal of Millsboro, Zachary Schloemer of Waynesburg, Courtney Mariah Smith of Confluence, and Vanessa Marie Wheatley of Confluence.

Students must have earned at least a 3.5 grade-point average to qualify for the list.

Hudik honored

Kathleen Hudik of Smock was named to the spring dean’s list at Villanova University. Students must earn a 3.5 grade- point average or better to qualify for the list.

Scheggia on list

Lindsey Scheggia of Chalk Hill was named to the spring dean’s list at Shippensburg University. Students qualified for the list by achieving at least a 3.3 grade-point average.

Bohach is listed

Brittany B. Bohach of Waynesburg has been named to the spring dean’s list at Bloomsburg University.

To qualify for the list, students must earn a 3.5 quality-point average or higher.

Students earn honors

Matthew James Lowry of Fairchance, Cory Michael Borland of Uniontown and Jacquelyne Marie Kinney of Eighty-Four have been named to the spring dean’s list at Thiel College in Greenville. Students must earn a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher to be named to the list.

Two earn listing

Bethany J. Watson of Connellsville and Neil B. Bryner of Charleroi were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport.

Seton Hill honorees

Seton Hill University in Greensburg has announced the dean’s list for the spring semester. In order to qualify for the list, students must earn a 3.7 grade point average or higher. The following local students qualified for the list.
