Theft by deception State police said three men driving a white pick-up truck allegedly failed to complete work to the driveway at 80-year-old Barbara W. Bryner’s Oak Street residence on July 8. According to police, the men arrived at Bryner’s residence and said they were in the area applying liquid asphalt on driveways. They asked Bryner if she wanted her driveway asphalted. She agreed to the work and paid the men upon them completing half of the driveway. When she asked for a receipt, the men said it was in their truck. They left the residence without providing a receipt or completing the work, said police. Anyone with information relative to this investigation is asked to call Trooper James A. Pierce at the state police barracks in Uniontown at 724-439-7111.
