Richeyville man facing charges

1 min read

A Richeyville man is facing multiple charges after he threatened to burn down his home with his family inside Wednesday. Centerville police said James Weid, 24, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Mark Wilson in Monongahela with recklessly endangering another person and terroristic threats following the incident. According to police, Weid threatened to burn down his house with his family inside during a domestic dispute with his wife, who was not identified.

Police said Weid then fired a single round from a .45-caliber handgun into the living room floor. Police then took him into custody.

Weid was placed in the Washington County Prison on $25,000 straight cash bond. A preliminary hearing will be held in August for Weid.
