Open houses set The state Department of Transportation will hold an open house to display plans and answer questions about a plan to replace the single-span bridge that carries Route 166 over Middle Run in German Township in the township building from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday. The new bridge and road approaches would maintain the existing horizontal alignment. One lane of traffic would be maintained during construction and controlled with temporary traffic signals, PennDOT said.

The state Department of Transportation will hold an open house to display plans and answer questions about replacing the bridge that carries Redstone Furnace Road over Redstone Creek in South Union Township at the township building from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

A proposed reinforced concrete arch culvert would replace the existing single-span arch bridge, and traffic would be detoured during construction, according to PennDOT.
