The Alli Gillis Band will perform in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center at Waynesburg University on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 7:30 p.m. The performance is part of Waynesburg University’s summer “Celebrating the Arts” series. Admission is free, and the public is cordially invited to attend. Alli Gillis is 18 years old, hails from Gibsonia and recently graduated from Pine-Richland High School. Over the last five years she has opened for big-name country acts, including Joe Diffie, Miranda Lambert, John Michael Montgomery, Craig Morgan, Travis Tritt, Phil Vassar and Lee Ann Womack, among others.

In addition to opening for other well-known acts, Gillis has performed at a number of local venues and had the privilege of singing for wounded veterans at the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C.
