Trial begins for online sex case

1 min read

The trial for a Connellsville man who allegedly made explicit sexual suggestions to whom he believed was a teenage girl online started Tuesday in Fayette County Court. Sean Patrick Stillwagon, 21, is charged with attempted aggravated indecent assault, attempted statutory sexual assault, attempted unlawful contact with a minor and attempted corruption of minors. Stillwagon allegedly set up a meeting with who he believed was a 13-year-old girl at a Uniontown drugstore. Instead, he found Dunbar police officer Christopher Kozlowski.

The officer had allegedly been chatting with Stillwagon online since December 2007, posing as the teenage girl.

Police took him into custody after arranging to meet him at the store in January 2008. Before that, authorities alleged that the two exchanged sexually explicit chats online, and Stillwagon made explicit suggestions.

The trial is being held before Judge John F. Wagner Jr.
