THOMAS CHRISTIAN MOTHERS will hold a late night bingo on June 19. Doors will open at 8 p.m. Kitchen will be open. CONNELLSVILLE AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY will hold its annual Flag Day picnic at 6 p.m. Thursday at Crawford’s Cabin on the banks of the Youghiogheny River in Connellsville. Members are to bring their own tableservice and a covered dish. Coffee and soft drinks will be provided. Plans for the sixth annual Braddock’s Crossing and Art on the Yough to be held June 27-28 will be discussed. New members are welcome.
NEWELL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will hold a strawberry festival from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Sandwiches and beverages will also be available.
CATHOLIC WAR VETERANS Auxiliary to Post 1669 will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the post home. Plans for the state convention will be made. Ticket money can be turned in. Members are reminded to bring items for the summer-fest basket.
AMERICAN LEGION POST 51 will hold nomination and election of post officers at the regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
