Steven “Barry” Demko
Steven “Barry” Demko, age 64, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2009. He was born August 19, 1944 in Perryopolis, Pa., the son of Stephen Demko and Margaret Toth Demko.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, JoAnn Lynn Carson on February 13, 2007.
Steven was a Steel Worker retiring from USX Irvin Works after 32 years of service.
He was a United States Veteran of the Army who served during Vietnam. He loved the game of softball and enjoyed Bowling.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Speigal Demko; his children: Stephen and Melissa; step-children: Stephen, Mark and Jamie; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; his sister, Barbara Lynch of York, Pa.; aunts, uncles, cousins, special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa. on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday morning, June 17, 2009 from 10 to 11 am. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Galen Winebrenner officiating.
Interment follows in Mt. Macrina Cemetery.
