Wallace R. Frost

Wallace R. Frost, 78, of Miller Farm, Fayette County, Pa., passed away peacefully Friday, June 12, 2009, at home with his loving Family at his bedside. He was born September 28, 1930, in Menallen Township, Fayette County, Pa., the son of James Frost and Ruth Lynn Frost.

“Wally” was a member of the United States Army who served with the Third Infantry Division during the Korean War. He was honored for his valor with the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and the Korean War Service Medal.

He was a member of Saint Procopius Roman Catholic Church, a Life Time Member of the American Legion Post 753, New Salem, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 in Uniontown, the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, Messmore Gun Club and the Fairbank Rod and Gun Club.

He was a retired employee from the United States Steel Corporation with thirty-nine years of service, retiring from the Clairton Works in 1989.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Robert, William, Irvin, Lynn and B. D.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Agnes Voytek Frost; two sons and one daughter: Wallace Frost and his wife Terri of Miller Farm, Rosanne Thomas and her husband Eugene of Flatwoods, Pa., Frank Frost of Miller Farm and his fiancee Cathy; six grandchildren: Jennifer Pindrock and her husband Joseph of Flatwoods, Wallace Frost of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Jeffrey Frost of Miller Farm and his girlfriend Danielle, Nicole Frost of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lisa Hostetler and her husband Brian of Chalk Hill, Pa., and Garrett Frost and his wife Miranda of Miller Farm; great grandchildren: Joey Pindrock, Jenna Pindrock and Cadon Michael Rishel; three brothers and two sisters: Ernest Frost of Clairton, Pa., Leslie Frost and his wife Ethel of Flatwoods, Pa., Donald Frost and his wife Maureen of Plattsville, Alabama, Ruth Mae Calhoun of Heath, Ohio, and Nancy Mathias and her husband Robert of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., today after 7 p.m., on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 16, 2009, until 9:30 a.m. when brief Prayers will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, with the Rev. Father Peter Peretti as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania.

American Legion Post 753, New Salem, will conduct Military Rites and Honors at graveside.

Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, June 15, at 7:30 p.m.
