James L. “Jim” Wingrove Sr.
James L. “Jim” Wingrove Sr., age 38, of Hibbs, Pa., went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 19, 2009. Born on February 13, 1971, in Uniontown, Pa., he was the son of Ronald Wingrove Sr. and Janet Pahula Wingrove of Hibbs, Pa.
“Jim” attended Holy Rosary School in Republic, Pa., and graduated from Tri-Valley High School and the Fayette County Area Vocational-Technical School in 1989.
He graduated in 1993 from the Pittsburgh Diesel Institute.
He was employed at United States Steel’s Maple Creek Mine until its closing in 2005.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, quad riding and shooting pool in his spare time.
“Jim” was also a member of the Adah Volunteer Fire Department.
He was Catholic by faith and was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Republic.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Steve and Julia Pahula; his paternal grandparents Charles and Hazel Wingrove; and his special uncle, Joseph Pahula.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Lisa Lynn Riggen Wingrove; a son, James L. Wingrove Jr. at home brothers: Ronald Wingrove Jr. and his wife Lisa of Hibbs, Pa., and Gregory S. Wingrove and his wife Brenda of Smithfield, Pa.; nephews and nieces: Dylan, Zachary, David and Jessica, Megan, Bradley and Lucas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly!
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, 19 Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, June 25, 2009, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Republic, with Rev. Father Stephen Bugay as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania.
Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
