Bittner-Kutek
St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, was the setting for the marriage of Kelly A. Kutek of New Salem and James E. Bittner Jr. of Uniontown. The bride is the daughter of Mary Kutek of New Salem and the late Paul Kutek Sr. The bridegroom is the son of Shirley Bittner of Uniontown and the late James Bittner Sr. The Rev. Peter Peretti officiated the nuptial Mass on Oct. 11.
Escorted to the altar by her brother, Paul Kutek Jr., the bride wore a white satin gown with beaded straps, Basque waistline, ball gown skirt and Castilian train and removable jacket, all adorned with embroidered lace, crystal beading and sequins. A princess-style tiara, accented with pearls and crystals, held a veil of illusion.
Matrons of honor were Stephanie Kitta and Kristin Carney, sisters of the bride. Maid of honor was Beth Kutek, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Christine Kutek, sister-in-law of the bride; Jamie Bendo, sister of the bridegroom; Jamie Hudock; Jenifer Kutek, niece of the bride; Amelia Bendo, niece of he bridegroom; and Morgan Hunchuck. Isabella Bendo, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.
Best man was Patrick Hudock. Groomsmen were Matthew Hunchuck, Chad Savage, Alvin Sapp, Terry Bendo, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Art Metts, Noah Bendo, nephew of the bridegroom; Wally Kitta, nephew of the bride; and Nicholas Bendo, nephew of the bridegroom. Jared Bendo, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Uniontown Firemen’s Social Hall. A future honeymoon cruise is planned.
The bride is a graduate of Uniontown Area High School and is attending Westmoreland County Community College. She is the human resource supervisor at Brownsville Marine Products LLC.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Uniontown Area High School, Westmoreland County Community College and West Texas A & M. He is the planner and training officer for Fayette County and a state fire service instructor in Pennsylvania.
The couple resides in Uniontown.
