Leroy L. Tressler Sr.
Leroy L. Tressler Sr., age 75, of Hopwood, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2009, in the Donnell House, Washington Pa He was born on July 20, 1933, in Ohiopyle, Pa., son of Amos Tressler and Maude Burnsworth Tressler.
Leroy was a member of the Little Brownfield Free Methodist Church, retired from Sensus Technologies (formerly Rockwell International) in Uniontown after 45 years of service.
He was an avid hunter who enjoyed spending his time at the farm in the mountains.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Tressler and Larry Tressler, one daughter, Waneta Oldham, one sister, Thelma Morrison and two brothers, Lewis Tressler and Andrew Tressler.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Tringes Tressler; a daughter, Sherry L. Matlock and husband Billy of Uniontown-Billy was Leroy’s very best friend; a son, Leroy L. Tressler Jr. and girlfriend, Janelle Laughery, of Little Brownfield, Pa.; three grand children: Haylee Tressler, Emily Tressler and Larry Tressler Jr.; four sisters: Alva Thompson of Dunbar, Pa., Mary Purdy of Cleveland, Ohio, Alice McKensley of Strothers, Ohio, and Ruby Cebulak and husband Charles of Dunbar, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive Friends in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., today (Sunday, May 10, 2009) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, May 11, 2009, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Charles O’Brien officiating.
Interment will be held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery in Uniontown, Pa., at a later date.
